This is the story of love during war time. During the battle of Appomattox Colonel Grant Guilliams was wounded while defending the ammunition cache of the 122nd infantry of the Union Army. He was taken on a rickety wooden cart to a small village a few short miles from the scorched battlefield. There he was nursed back to health at the tit of a beautiful wood sprite. Despite her extravagance, few knew she was from beyond this mundane world. Her essence belonged to the astral plain, but her love for this ordinary hero tethered her to the earth. Now they join their souls for all eternity. That is what this website is about.
I hope you enjoy Grant’s fantastical and mildly disturbing tale of our love. I assure you that I am not a wood sprite, Grant is not a Union Colonel, and we are not certifiable. The reality of ‘our story’ is a little bit less dramatic, but in short—we met during pandemic times and bonded over our mutual love of making art, eating fabulous meals, and road trips to Upstate, New York. Our relationship bloomed effortlessly enough that we have decided to sign a binding contract to further cement our love. The proposal was much more romantic than that. It involved The Bahamas, a moonlit ocean, and a very large crustacean that was present for the entire event—weeping and clapping together its claws in ecstasy. The part about the crab is only half true.
Lastly, and maybe most importantly, we hold our families and friendships in the highest regard. We are overjoyed to be sharing this day with you and beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
Thank you for being a part of our love story, we love you!
